Grandkids Camp at Hogle Zoo

Twice a year Brian's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Smart, have a grandkids camp. They spend the whole day doing something fun with all the grandkids and then have a big sleepover afterwards. Our kids LOVE it and really look forward to it! G&G Smart decided to take everyone to Hogle Zoo this year. We had such a great time and really appreciate everything G&G Smart do to make our kids childhood memorable!

My Favorite Park

There's a park where we live that we love to go play at. The kids love to go there as much as I do. It's kind of in a secluded area that is enclosed with a fence. I love that I don't have to worry about the kids running into a street. It has old school playground equipment that totally reminds me of my childhood. It has lots of wood climbing structures, tire swings, swings, and tall, metal slides. I love it! This park has a ton of grass as well as lots of big trees to climb and provide lots of shade. But the best thing about this park is no one is ever there. I have it all to myself. There is just something about laying in the shade, watching my kids play for hours. I love the smiles on their faces and seeing the memories that we are creating.

Seven Peaks

My brother Jared was able to get tickets to Seven Peaks for a great price, so we were able to go a few times this summer. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected. In fact, if I am brave enough I may get season tickets next year. We'll see.

The Fourth of July and Payson Lakes

This Fourth of July we went to Payson Lakes with my parents and my sister, Tiffany, and her family. We had such a great time! We spent most of the day relaxing and playing in the water. We definetely plan on going back there sometime soon! Later in the day, we went up to Brian's parents house and had a barbecue and lit fireworks. I love the Fourth of July!

Happy Birthday Livvy!

Our little girl, Livvy, turned 2 on June 26 and she had a great time celebrating and opening all her presents. For every one of our kids' birthdays we decorate the kitchen with streamers and balloons, set the table with their birthday plate, make their favorite breakfast and put a candle in it and let them blow it out. Each child looks forward to this and can't wait to come out of their rooms and see the kitchen.

She had so much fun opening her presents!

Faith's Carnival Birthday Party

Anyone who knows me at all, knows that I procrastinate pretty much everything. It still holds true. We celebrated Faith's 6th birthday party in July even though she turned 6 in March. She didn't seem to mind and had an absolute blast! Her party was a carnival theme complete with different game booths to earn tickets and prizes, a bounce house, face painting, a pinata, a popcorn machine and snow cones. We had so much fun, but it was exhausting!
